Getting to Denman Island
To visit Denman Island, you need to get to the Buckley Bay ferry terminal on Vancouver Island where you will board the ferry for the 10-12 minute scenic sail to Denman.

Driving to Denman Island
To drive to the Denman Island ferry in Buckley Bay, simply take the Inland Island Highway 19 on Vancouver Island:
- From Victoria to Buckley Bay: 2.5 hrs.
- From Nanaimo to Buckley Bay: 1.5 hrs.
- From Courtenay to Buckley Bay: 20 min.

The ferry to Denman Island departs from Buckley Bay at approximately hourly intervals. You must be in the line-up a minimum of 10 minutes prior to sailing time in order to board. To avoid disappointment in the busier summer months, plan to arrive an hour prior to sailing time as there can be very long line-ups.
Directions to Fillongley Forest B&B
From the Denman West Ferry Terminal: drive up the hill; continue straight and when you see Lacon Rd.; keep to the left. Continue up the steep hill (Graffiti Hill). On the right hand side, you will pass the Church, Fire Hall, Old School and cemetary. Turn left at Swan Rd. (sign for Fillongley Provincial Park) and we're on the right hand side.

Fillongley Provincial Park
Denman Island, British Columbia is characterized by its beautiful natural environment.
Located on the northeast side of Denman Island, Fillongley Provincial Park features some of the largest remaining stands of Douglas Firs and Cedars in the region. There is a wheelchair accessible path through the forest and a series of walking trails woven around the lush salmon-spawning habitat called Beadnell Creek.
Fillongley's sandy and rocky beach is perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, beachcombing and long walks, where the panoramic views take in Hornby Island and the mountain ranges of mainland Canada.
